Packet loss between netgear and new plusnet router

See the schreen shot. I have a lot of packet loss between www.routerlogin.com (netgear router) and the plusnet device dsldevice.com. I have tried swapping out the ethernet that connects them. Is there any tests I should be running to gather more information? 

I am also noticing that I think DNS resolution is slow but I think that is unrelated. I tried 8.8.8.8 etc. I only mention this as I'm not sure if that can impact the packet loss in some corner case. 

I have tried rebooting the router and looked for firmward updates. Wondering what to do for measurement/debugging next?
