Philips Hue v 4 orange light R7000 and wifi drops randomly
Been experiencing wifi randomly drops with bridge connected. I am not at all tech savvy so here it goes hope you can help.
Provider has confirmed physically etc that internet is working. Modem also working. Router is showing all white lights. until...i i connect the philips hue v4 bridge to ANY of 1-4 ethernet ports on router.
I have placed the router and the bridge as far away from each other as possible. I have also updated software on the bridge and reset the bridge. I have confirmed the cable works.
Still the orange light persists.
I believe it is affecting my wifi because without the bridge connected to the router my wifi comes back, but i need my lights.
What is going on?
If i need to download firmware how do i do it from the app etc? (again not tech savvy)
Do i need a new hue bridge?
Should I get a router separately for the bridge?
In your experience/advise what would be most frugal plan of action?
TIA

Re: Philips Hue v 4 orange light R7000 and wifi drops randomly
a few more details are needed.
1. what firmware is on the router?
2. what modem is it connected to (model)?
3. what has a "orange" light. The hue bridge isn't gigabit so if the ethenet port light is orange/amber, thats to be expected.
4. does all wifi go down or just the 2.4ghz?

Re: Philips Hue v 4 orange light R7000 and wifi drops randomly
1. what firmware is on the router? v1.0.11.126
2. what modem is it connected to (model)? MB8600
3. what has a "orange" light. The hue bridge isn't gigabit so if the ethenet port light is orange/amber, thats to be expected. noted. when bridge is connected to either ethernet port 1-4 corresponding light on router is orange.
4. does all wifi go down or just the 2.4ghz? all wifi goes down. not able to find it when doing searches for wifi on phone for instance. router and modem will look unchanged however.
Keep in mind. We’re members of the public helping out on our own time. completely understood. i work around this issuedaily but looking for a best solution in time.

Re: Philips Hue v 4 orange light R7000 and wifi drops randomly
when the wifi is down, what does it show in the status page on the router for the wifi?
Are the wifi led's on?
What happens if you change which channels the wifi is broadcasting on?
