Please help, my Nighthawk x6 r8000 randomly drops internet connection
Hi guys,
My set up is CM400 cable modem (Cox Cable) connected to my Nighthawk R8000 X6 AC3200 tri-band router with Firmware Version V1.0.4.46_10.1.63 I've never had an issue with but but since last firmware update my internet started to drop at random time throughout the day up to 3 time a day for about 2-3 minutes. All the lights on the modem stay green and all the lights on the router stay white except for the internet light which turns amber. If I do a power cycle and reset the modem signal from Cox cable it seems to be fine for a day or two before it happens again. I don't have the know how to diagnose the issue myself and Cox can't figure it either they just try to sell me their modem and router, lol.
I'd appreciate any help I can get.
Thanks.

To me, that sounds like a clue. "Newer" and "better" are spelled
differently for a reason. I'd try loading the previously working
firmware.Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and look
for Downloads. (For older versions, under Firmware and Software
Downloads, look for "View Previous Versions".) Find the kit(s).
Download the kit(s) you want. Read the "Release Notes" file for
instructions.Recently, Netgear has stopped including actual instructions in its
firmware "Release Notes" files, so all you may see there is a hint like:To update your router's firmware, follow the instructions in your
router's user manual.
In that case, visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model
number, and look for Documentation. Get the User Manual. Look for
"firmware" and/or "update" for the details.

Thanks again. - Oliver7AspirantSo I uploaded the previous firmware and it seemed fine the last two day like the problem was resolved but it timed out again today. I took screenshots of the 'Logs' about the time it happened. I don't know if it shows any errors except for "NTP time sync fail"
I don't know what to do next. It seems like it times out ever 72 hours or so.- Oliver7Aspirant
