R6700 Intermittent Amber light
Hi everyone,
Router Specs, using Windows 10
Hardware: R6700v3
Firmware: V1.0.4.106_10.0.80
GUI language Version: V1.0.4.100_2.1.38.1
I recently moved apartments and brought my router along, retaining the current network settings so I don't have to reset all my devices. I switched from Comcast Xfinity to Wave G, and the set-up is working for the most part. However, my router has begun to exhibit strange behavior - everyone other day, the wifi connection cuts out and all the lights on the router go dark except for the power light that turns amber. The network goes down, and both 5 and 2.4 ghz wifi networks disappear. When this happens, it usually stays like that for a minute and eventually all systems go back up online and everything returns to normal.
From my understanding, this is an issue with my router and not my ISP, since a lack of connection would not cause the networks to go down. Is this correct? Is there anything I can do other than doing a full factory reset? We have a lot of smart home devices that I would prefer to not have to reset.
