R6700 limiting speed
Hello,
Recently updated internet speed to 300 mbps, service provider ran a fiber cable into the house and put a small modem, at the modem I get 300+ Mbps, modem to router is a high speed ethernet cable. But router outlet plugged ethernet into computer by technician got only 120 mbps. He used fast.com on a PC.
I check speeds on wireless 5 gHz band, chrome browser, PC, fast.com get only 110 mbps.
Router firmware V1.0.2.26_10.0.61
Nighthawk R6700
QOS off
WMM on ( I notice that when it is off I get even lower speeds as tested with chrome browser, 5 gHZ wireless, fast.com)
No VPN/parental controls, Armor etc.
The Router does detect 300+ Mbps internet connection (Qos-> detect connection)
Reading through previous posts looks like current version some how limits bandwidth, should I roll back firmware? If so wondering which version and where can I get it?
Any other solution?

Re: R6700 limiting speed
I'd start with a factory reset and then test the speeds in its default configuration.
When you do go through setup, make sure to leave qos, access control, parental controls, and traffic monitoring all disabled.
