Are you using smart connect?
Are you connecting to the 2.4ghz or the 5ghz signal? 2.4ghz is much slower and more sensitive to interference.
If you're "many rooms away" and connected to the 2.4ghz, it could be from interference on the 2.4ghz. You could try changing what channel the router is broadcasting on for both the 2.4ghz and the 5ghz

Hello thank you for your reply, I should have mentioned i have trouble with both 2.4 and 5, i experience the high packet loss on both, in fact I cant remember the last time I had it on the 2.4ghz band, so as far as I know this happens all the time with me being on the 5ghz band
I dont use smart connect, wouldnt it just keep me on the 5ghz band like i already have it?
