@Bdad We have released a new official firmware 1.0.5.64. See this link for the release notes.

This should also fix 2.4GHz issues. Feel free to update, reset and reconfigure. Provide us details should you encounter any problems.

1.0.5.62 is a beta which for me is working good so far. Their has been some issues reported when changing output levels, wifi settings are lost and need to be re-entered. I don't change output so I don't see it as an issue, NO ARLO so that's fine with me too.

How is it possible that FW 1.0.5.64 is the latest FW, even superceding my installed v1.06.28-1.0.83?

Maybe I don't understand your version numbering system?  But, when I tried to install firmware v1.0.5.64 the netgear software reported that I already have the latest FW (v1.06.28-1.1.83).  So, what is going on?

BTW, I did a factory reset before trying to upgrade the FW.  I assume the reset worked because I had to re-set a few variables, including my SSID and password.

Curiously,

Morley

1 0 6 28 was pulled for several reasons, go download site ( see above ) enter model r7000 and manually download to PC. Unzip it and then from router BROWSE to saved (unzipped) file location and update.

Re: R7000 Nighthawk Firmware Version V1.0.6.28_1.1.83

The 'old' beta's with Arlo support were PULLED due to stability problems. NG decided to go back to a V1.0.5 base before the inclusion of Arlo support and issue NEW beta's. They kept the V1.0.5.6x numbering scheme for those new betas and the official V1.0.5.64 release. After installing you must reset the router to clear all settings and then re-enter manually your settings.

It seems NG is working on new betas with Arlo support and I assume they will be the V1.0.6.xx line of firmware.

So even though it reports you have newer firmware, install it and then reset and manually re-enter your settings.
