R7000 drops wifi after v1.0.4.28_1.1.64

I've read all of the threads suggesting the factory reset, except it won't reset AT ALL, so please do not suggest that. I've tried the one in the firmware AND the hard reset about 20+ times EACH, neither work. I know of 2 routers with this issue, neither router will do a reset. I finally downloaded the 1.0.4.30 older firmware, but I am still having constant wifi drops and latency. Also you can still see an ARLO SSID being broadcast but no ARLO interface in the router interface now. Yesterday alone we had to reboot the router about 5 times. This is unacceptable. I can't believe that Netgear knowingly released a bad firmware version and 5 months later still have not released a fix for it. For what I paid for this, and the fact I recommended it to others, this is likely to be my last Netgear device. I also work from home and MUST have reliable internet 24/7. Any ideas before I dump this 1 year old router would be greatly appreciated.

If you are not using the R7000-Arlo feature use this firmware v1.0.5.62.

Re: R7000 drops wifi after v1.0.4.28_1.1.64
Besides loading in the Beta above, which you WILL need to do a RESET (HOLD IN THE BUTTON on the back with a pen or paper clip, until the lights blink) and re-enter your settings.
If you CAN NOT reset with the hidden button in the back, you still can do it via Genie. Log into your router via the browser and on ADVANCED, the ADMINISTRATION tab, you'll see REVERT TO FACTORY DEFAULT SETTINGS, press ERASE, does the same thing. Then once the router re-boots re-enter your settings.

Trying this, thanks! So far ARLO is gone, so that is a plus. Will see how the wifi connections are from this point on. Also saw the new firmware out there, but I'll let that one burn in for a bit before I jump on it. I learned my lesson of applying new versions too fast.

Re: R7000 drops wifi after v1.0.4.28_1.1.64
I would get the one just released. It is a real release, not a beta. Since the number was incremented I would assume it has some fixes above the beta level.
