have set the banned domain names and parental control, it's much strange that some of the set rules work, some not; and sometimes work, sometimes not.

The URL filter can't work on https connections.
LPC is DNS based, independant of the access protocol (like http, htps, ftp, ...), so it can cover.

All using Netgear LPC, or have added domains/URLs to the URL filter? The later one can't work on secured/encrypted https sites.

Re: R7000 failed to set banned domain names and parental control
tried LPC just now, added a new domain "weibo.com", then reset R7000, but didn't work.

Re: R7000 failed to set banned domain names and parental control
The client might have the domain cached, aside there are several related domains to fully block weibo.com (for example). Afraid, I have no LPC setup to check.

Yes, it's possible that domains are cached.
Another question: is it necessary to keep the software of router control running when startup(or reset) the router?
