Before I load this up, does it fix the 2.4Ghz to be working again?

Re: R7000 firmware version 1.0.5.64_1.1.88 released today
So if mine is working without any issues and I see nothing I need here.. I'm not going to upgrade?
Are there fixes that may be important but are not listed here?

Re: R7000 firmware version 1.0.5.64_1.1.88 released today
@chadashcroft Just a reminder, this release still does not include Arlo Support. So, if you're using that feature you will not see that on this firmware release.
However, feel free to update your firmware using the Update button on the router admin page.

Re: R7000 firmware version 1.0.5.64_1.1.88 released today
Thanks...can you paraphrase the best firmware update process for me? As I understand it its something like;
a.) update using the update button or manual update ..
b.) set new firmware to factory defaults
c.) recycle router again
d.) key in all my settings again..
e.) reset again..
Thanks a bunch

@Eric738, not sure what you are asking for, but I don't think it belongs in the thread subject. Start a NEW Subject please that defines the problem and post that. That way someone who knows about Bittorrent should answer (or ask in a Bittorrent forum?).

Re: R7000 firmware version 1.0.5.64_1.1.88 released today
Hi,
I'm only modestly technically skilled, so I'd just like to ask for a little clarificationo on the firware update process. Netgear's update instructions (http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/30695) say nothing about a need to reset to factory defaults after the upgrade, thus requiring the user to key in all the settings again.
Can you comment on the on yours (and others) suggestion to reset the router and re-enter settings, in light of Netgear's not mentioning the need to do this? It's not the end of the world to have to renter the settings, but it's not pleasant either.
Thanks,
Anton

Re: R7000 firmware version 1.0.5.64_1.1.88 released today
Generally speaking, it is the best thing to do. Especially true it seems when going from a beta that has a higher number than the official release or to a lower release beta.
I've been doing that for years it seems. Not doing so has caused problems that I discover later.
If going up in official release to a newer one I've not done the reset/reload, but if I encounter problems I do do that. I never use a prior versions saved settings. I usually don't even save the settings as it isn't worth it to me.
Others may have different opinions.

'(Bets)' should be '(Beta)' in the following sentence:
Supports NETGEAR Downloader (Beta). NETGEAR Downloader (Bets) allows you to directly download files from the Internet to a USB drive connected to the router. To set up your NETGEAR router, see How to configure the NETGEAR Downloader feature

Re: R7000 firmware version 1.0.5.64_1.1.88 released today
The later versions were pulled. The newer versions are a step backwards in terms of function having dropped support for Arlo for the moment. I guess Netgear thought that was reason enough to swap to a lower version number.

Re: R7000 firmware version 1.0.5.64_1.1.88 released today
That IS the newest OFFICIAL Firmware release. The beta you referenced was pulled and newer ones with V1.0.5.60 and .62 were released WITHOUT Arlo support and provided for improve stability which is the reason OLD Beta's were recalled and deleted from distribution.
If you require Arlo support, call NG for firmware that supports it it seems.
