I would actually recommend version 1.0.9.42 of the firmware if you have the R7000. its been the most stable.

Is this the version you are referring to or something else? Sorry, having soem trouble tracking it down.

It is. go to the support site (see link) and click on downloads. Then "+ previous versions"

  Thank you. I guess I can try this out the next time there is a major outage and see if that improves. I would prefer not to pay to rent Xfinity equipment or buy a new router if it can at all be avoided...
