R7000 port forwarding not working on PS4

Hi All,

Im at the end of what I can seeming figure out on my own.

I have a R7000 Nighthawk AC1900 router, which I have setup behind a Xfinity gateway. As of today the gateway has been fac reset and then set to bridge mode. I have also fac reset the router and set it back up with some IP reservations for devices on my wired and wireless network. I have also setup port forwarding for my PS4 which is hardline connected with a static IP address to the router. I show a type2 connection on the PS4 which is what i would expect being behind the router. My connection stats for up/down are really good, but upon going into CoD ww2 and checking the console information i am yet again met with a Moderate NAT. UPnP is turned off, the NAT setting is set to Open not Secure. I do not want to have to put the PS4 into DMZ which was part of the reason for purchasing a router that had the capabilities this one does. Am I simply missing something that will allow the port forwarding to work properly? Or have I configured things incorrectly and this is entirely on me?

Any more info that i missed feel free to yell and I will provide.

Thanks.

So it turns out that after talking with 3 different techs with Xfinity my modem/router was not actually getting set to bridge mode, thus never provided me with a public IP address.

Bridge mode finally enabled properly, port forwarding set again and NAT set to open.

    Thanks for that response.

       Firmware version?

So, the WAN/Internet interface on the R7000 has your public IP
address?  What are its first two octets ("a.b" out of "a.b.c.d")?  (If
the R7000 is hidden behind another router, then port forwarding by it

    may be doomed.)

The alternative to configuring your (unspecified) "a Xfinity gateway"
in bridge/modem-only mode would be to configure the R7000 as a wireless

    access point.

What are the actual port-forwarding rules?  Copy+paste is your
    friend.

Is that a true static address (configured on the PS4), or a reserved
dynamic address (configured on the R7000)?  What is that address?  Have
you verified that the PS4 is actually at that address?

I'd assume so, but more info should permit accurate blame assignment.
