R7000 turn off wireless isolation
I saw a lot of discussions about this issue I was having but no one seemed to have any soltuions. I figured it out and since the other topics/discussions were closed, I am creating this to share the solution I found to the problem that so many appeared to be having.
I have a Printer/Scanner with a mobile app that allows you to scan from your mobile device. I have an iphone and kept getting an error when I tried scanning that said I needed to disable wireless isolation on my router to be able to scan. The actual solution had nothing to do with the router, but rather, the iphone's wifi connection setting.
To fix this issue, go to settings on your iphone then the wifi menu. Once in the wifi menu, tap the wifi network you are connected to (must be the same one your printer is connected to) and in that menu, there is a setting for "Private Address". Disable that and you should be able to scan now from your mobile device without any issues.
Hope this helps someone!
