R7000 wifi trouble

I have a weird wifi issue with my Nighthawk. I have some devices (printer, etc) which I can only get to connect to my guest wifi. I enabled both 2.5GHz and 5GHz in different configurations, but I seem to be unable to replicate the one of the guest wifi. I have of course triplechecked the password. Any idea of what could be wrong?

What are the Wi-Fi settings (SSID broadcast, security mode, speed mode, channel) on the router?
Can these devices see the Wi-Fi network? Are you prompted to enter the password when they try to join the network?
Do you have MAC address access control enabled on the router?

Re: R7000 wifi trouble
SSID broadcast is enabled, security mode is WPA2-PSK, speed mode I tried them all, channel set to auto.
The devices see the network, I get prompted for the password, but they are unable to connect. The connect fine to the gues one though.
I don't have MAC address access control.

Re: R7000 wifi trouble
Try switching the channel from auto to a fixed number.
Try using WPA-PSK or WPA-PSK+WPA2-PSK security.
If the password has special characters, then try a simpler password (i.e. alphanumeric).

Re: R7000 wifi trouble
Thanks for the suggestions! I tried all of them but I didn't manage to get it to work. My laptop connects fine to the 5GHz network but not to the 2.5GHz one. I copy/pasted the password so that cannot be an issue. My Mac just says there was a problem connecting, while my printer thinks it's a wrong password.

Re: R7000 wifi trouble
Try a factory reset, especially if the problems started occurring after a firmware upgrade. Don't restore settings from a backup file.

Re: R7000 wifi trouble
This worked. Thanks for the suggestion! It's a shame I had to do the configuration from scratch though.
