So I lost my internet connection yesterday. I have a nighthawk R7800 router and a separate modem.
Here is the list of my symptoms: Internet connection LED is blinking amber on the router All lights on the modem are green and steady I can connect to the router via 2.5 and 5 ghz wireless and hardwired connection
Here is what I’ve done so far: Rebooted the modem and router multiple times - no difference Hardwired a computer to the modem - computer was able to connect to the internet Tried 2 different Ethernet cables between modem and router - no difference Completed a factory reset - no help Cannot get internet connection with the R7800 setup as an access point or router Nothing notable in the log file on the router No burn marks around RJ 45 jacks I had the most recent firmware on the router so I did a roll back to an older version - this did not help
Not sure what else I can check. Is it now a door stop?
