Hardware version R8000
FIRMWARE VERSION : V1.0.4.84_10.1.84
After upgrading to this firmware version, I restored the old configuration because I lost all the advance configurations. All hardwared devices are able to connect to the network, but all of my wifi devices are able to connect to the 2.4 and 5G networks but they are unable to connect to the internet.
To repeat hardware devices can access the internet. All wireless devices can connect to wifi, but are unable to connect to the internet.
Hardwired and wireless devices are recieving IP information from the router and are on the same network.
Guest Network is enabled and will not disable. i.e when I uncheck Enable Guest Network and then apply, the Guest Network is reenabled.
So second issue is unable to to disabe the guest network.

Glad the reset worked. If see DNS errors or issues, enable IPv6 and set to auto. Should help resolve that.
Be sure to save off a back up configuration to file for safe keeping. Saves time if a reset is needed.

Re: R8000 HARDWIRE CONNECTIONS HAVE INTERNET BUT WIFI CONNECTIONS DO NOT
1. what modem/gateway is it connected to?
2. try factory resetting and don't install using a backup configuration. If something is corrupt in the backup, that could be causing the issue.

Re: R8000 HARDWIRE CONNECTIONS HAVE INTERNET BUT WIFI CONNECTIONS DO NOT
It is connected to a cable modem ISP provided. All hardwired connections can access the internet. Only Wifi connections are unable to access the internet. This router is used for a buisness with many configurations. Are you saying that everytime this router updates, I will have reenter all of this configuration information?

@horacemiles wrote:
It is connected to a cable modem ISP provided----doesn't tell me much. what model modem is it? . All hardwired connections can access the internet. Only Wifi connections are unable to access the internet.---I got that from your prior post. This router is used for a buisness with many configurations. Are you saying that everytime this router updates, I will have reenter all of this configuration information?----I didn't say that. But when you're having issues after an update, a factory reset and new install is one of the first things I'd recommend. You usually don't need to do a thing after a firmware upgrade. But if something was corrupt in a setting or something changed enough, thats where we start.

Re: R8000 HARDWIRE CONNECTIONS HAVE INTERNET BUT WIFI CONNECTIONS DO NOT
Ok, I understand that this is community help. But clearly there is a deeper issue here. After the last two firmware updates, the complete configuration is wiped by the update. Is there away to notify netgear of this issue, if the product is outside the warranty?

Re: R8000 HARDWIRE CONNECTIONS HAVE INTERNET BUT WIFI CONNECTIONS DO NOT
the last 2 versions did have issues. its why they keep updating the firmware. And they do watch the forums for repeat issues to pop up.
Did you try the factory reset and clean install?

Re: R8000 HARDWIRE CONNECTIONS HAVE INTERNET BUT WIFI CONNECTIONS DO NOT
I will do the factory reset after I capture all the settings as I will need to manually reinput them. I will update after I do all of that.

Re: R8000 HARDWIRE CONNECTIONS HAVE INTERNET BUT WIFI CONNECTIONS DO NOT
test it before you put all your settings in.
Just put in enough settings to get a connection to the internet. Then test wired/wireless devices.
If it works then but not after you've put in your settings, something you're entering is causing the issue

Also recommend don't enable Armor, Circle or Traffic Meter.

Re: R8000 HARDWIRE CONNECTIONS HAVE INTERNET BUT WIFI CONNECTIONS DO NOT
Thanks for you rhelp. Reseting to Factory default allowed wifi connections to access the internet. Putting back former configuration settings also took, I did disable allowing automatic updates. Thanks again.
