R8000P Firmware - Manually Updated but old version remains

Hello,

I just downloaded V1.4.4.94_1.3.56 to my laptop (which is directly connected to my R8000P via ethernet cable, and I extracted the file (ends in chk) and updated the router's firmware.   It went through the process of updating and then rebooting my router.  When it was done, the firmware still shows the old version, V1.4.1.50_1.3.10.

Does anyone have a solution for this?
