R8000P - most stable firmware?

Hi all... I've had this router since 2018 so it could be age causing this but recently the router seems to be locking up.  Problem is, I did a firmware upgrade recently and didn't write down what the old version which was working great.  I just figured I'd upgrade because of "security fixes".

So the quesation is, what is the most stable version of the firmware for this model?

Thanks.

Apologies for the delayed reply.

This worked OK for a week or so, then things started acting up again.  Unfortunately I couldn't continue with the recurring issues because I work from home, so I ended up replacing it with a mesh system.  It was 6 years old so perhaps it was simply dying a slow death.  Regardless, I have not had any issues since replacing it.

Thanks for the assistance - wish I didn't have to replace it but sometimes that's the only solution.

What version did you install? Or is on it?

Anytime I have issues after a firmware change, I factory reset and do a manual reinstall (installing without using a backup) before downgrading if there's issues. Sometimes old settings can cause issues and the firmware can help fix that.

I'd try that first.

The one I downgraded to is 1.4.1.68_1.3.28.  However, I just experienced the same issue again out of the blue and it was only fixed with a reboot.  I'm going to try some others, but wondering if this thing is just close to giving up the ghost.

Any progress on this?
