ReadyCloud Windows App doesn't show sync options

Hey everyone!

I recently installed the ReadyCloud Windows app, however, it doesn't work as I expected. This app should enable me to set up syncing between the drive attached to my router and the computer on which the Windows app is installed, right?

After installing and logging in, I am only getting the following screen:

ReadyCloud Windows App.png

On some online videos, I noticed options for each folder. However, they are not showing here. To clarify a bit more: I cannot (left or right) click the T_Drive folder for more options and under settings there is nothing interesting either.

Does any of you have a clue if this has to do with the router type (which simply doesn't support these options), or if it is a software/configuration issue?

Your help is greatly appreciated.

Kind regards,

Simon

Re: ReadyCloud Windows App doesn't show sync options

All,

@ElaineM

Afraid, as per the specs Sync/Backup feature is (among some more) not available in ReadyCLOUD served on a router - a ReadyNAS is required:

Therfore, there is no mouse-over to the right for a share held on a router:

Welcome to the community, @SimonZon

The ReadyCloud will only show the files from the attached USB drive on your router.

Re: ReadyCloud Windows App doesn't show sync options

Dear Elaine,

Thank you for thinking with me!

Okay, noted. The drive I am refering to in my original message is actually connected by usb.

I'll clarify a bit more:

Router: Netgear Nighthawk R7000 - AC1900 Smart WiFi

USB drive connected to router: 2TB usb storage

I can access these files in the ReadyCloud web environment (also sharing for example). However, I cannot set up synchronization using the Windows App. Do you have any clue?

Kind regards,

Simon

Hi Simon,

What's the firmware version installed on your router?

Do you have the latest firmware installed?

Re: ReadyCloud Windows App doesn't show sync options

Dear Elaine,

My router has the following version firmware version installed: V1.0.7.6_1.1.99, and upon clicking "check" on the update page, it says that firmware is up-to-date.

Kind regards,

Simon

Re: ReadyCloud Windows App doesn't show sync options

Are you clicking the T_Drive word?

When you hover your mouse on it, will the word (T_Drive) get underlined?

By the way, did you try using a different computer?

I have just tried a different computer, unfortunately the same result. Also, T_Drive is not underlined or showing any other indication of interaction. Any other suggestions? Your help is appreciated!

Have you tried to unregister then re-register from the account?

Also, another thing to try is to uninstall and reinstall the app.

I'll try it this evening when I get home. Thank you.

Re: ReadyCloud Windows App doesn't show sync options

I tried both suggestions (unregistering and reïnstalling), still dosn't work, however T_Drive gets underlined now on hovering and on double clicking T_Drive I see a gear in front of T_Drive moving, but after that, still nothing happens:

Are there other things I can reïnstall, reset, ...?

Thank you,

Simon
