Firmware version?> Model: A7000|Nighthawk AC1900 WiFi USB Adapter - USB 3.0
Not a router.

Probably, but, with my weak psychic powers, I can't see what "some
people suggest in other comments". I can think of one way to find out.Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your (actual) model number,
and look for Documentation. Get the User Manual (at least). Read.
Look for "Reset".

You can try updating the firmware manually and see if that happens or reverting to a previous firmware that is considered by people as more stable but you'll have to research these type of forums to see what people are saying. If you need to get back into your router settings maybe you can also reset it and it will be back to factory defaults where you'll need to fill out all those questions like who is your sister but you get to decide how to answer that as though its the first time you're using that router.
