Router Model R7800 Will NOT Bridge to Other routers
I am trying to use my R7800 as a bridge router in my network. My Primary router is a SNAP-AV Araknis 301. Not matter what, I cannot get the R7800 to config into bridge mode. Using dynamic IP it never shows up in primary router client list. If I set to static IP, most of the time is still doesn't show as a client, but if somehow it decides to, I still cannot login to it. I'm 100% sure of the SSID/pw to the primary router although I have no way to know if this step is passing or not. Sometimes if it does show as an IP in primary router client list, the ping of the R7800 from a laptop will run fine for a while, then go into time out mode, only to return to routing again; and repeats. Not sure what this tells me, but I'm near the point of throwing in the towel. I've googled on the subject and seen others that have the issue and were never able to resolve. Sad that it would be the case. Suggestions? I've followed the R7800 documentation to the letter about 20 times with various tweaks, but zero progress.

What FW is loaded on the R7800?
How is the main host routers wifi and security settings configured?
My R7800 works well in wireless bridge mode, however I did find that if I had a host router that had mixed WPA2 and WPA3 modes set, the R7800 would not connect when mixed security mode set on the host router. I had to set WPA2 only for the R7800 to connect.

Thank you for your reply. I will take a look at that on my end. Do I understand that the R7800 (bridged router) will allow connections from devices to its radio (i.e. wireless), or will only the wired ports on the R7800 be available? There was some confusion on that reading several random posts I stumbled upon in my searches. Thank you again. Mike

When in wireless bridge mode, only wired devices connected to the back LAN ports get access. The wireless radios don't provide any wireless access to wireless devices when in wireless bridge mode. There was some confusion on that reading several random posts I stumbled upon in my searches. Thank you again. Mike
