Router wifi network stopped working Nighthawk X6 AC3200 Smart WiFi Router (R8000)
Hi, My Router has stopped working, the indicator lights cycle through but the wifi doesn't work - not sure what has caused it. Any suggestions for ways to diagnose of fix the fault most welcome....

Smells to me the router auto-updated its firmware and got bricked in the process (it's why I strongly urge all to disable auto-updates).
First, try a factory reset by pressing the Reset button at the back for 10 seconds while router is powered on. If that doesn't work, you'll have to TFTP-flash it with a firmware; here are instructions: https://kb.netgear.com/000059633/How-do-I-upload-firmware-to-my-NETGEAR-router-using-a-TFTP-client-on-Microsoft-Windows

Hi,
No success with the 30-30-30 reset.
I tried reinstalling the firmware as per the advice on the Netgear site, however that didn't work - there was never a point at which the power light was flashing - I tried the upload just after restarting, but it wouldn't install.
I do plan to try it again, maybe I'll have better luck next time
