Switch from 5G to 2.4 on my router
Hello
I have just installed some Wi Fi operated garden lights that (ive just discovered) work only with a 2.4 gig router.
I am having no luck pairing the graden lights controller to the router. I think it may be because it doen't like the 5Gig ?
I am a complete novice at this stuff! Does anyone know if i can 'turn off' the 5G? I've blundered my way around the wizard but cant seem to find a way.
thank you
Jo

Re: Switch from 5G to 2.4 on my router
You don't need to turn off the 5ghz.
If the lights are only 2.4ghz, they can't "see" the 5ghz or use it.
It usually doesn't create an issue when app makers code decently. Sadly, most don't.
When they don't, it just means that you need to connect your phone to the 2.4ghz during setup of the lights.
Try that first to connect them.
