I found below link to attempt to recover my router after a failed firmware upgrade yesterday.
https://kb.netgear.com/000059634/How-to-upload-firmware-to-a-NETGEAR-router-using-Windows-TFTP
First things first, I enabled the TFTP Client in Windows 10.
I downloaded the latest firmware .img file from the netgear site.
I wired in my connection from my ethernet port to port-1 on the back of the router
I set my ethernet connection as depicted in image link below.
I open command prompt and then I type 'cd desktop' and the prompt moves to my desktop
Followed by 'tftp -i 192.168.1.1 put R6700v2-V1.2.0.74_1.0.1.img'
Per the instructions above, I unplug the modem for 10 seconds, hold the reset button in, turn it back on and wait for the power LED to blink white ten times then press Enter on the tftp command and receive the message 'Connect request failed'
I go back to command prompt and type 'ping 192.168.1.1' and receive 4 replies:
'Reply from 192.168.1.10: Destination host unreachable.'
Any ideas? I'm at a loss as I've been unable to get the file to transmit.

You may need to contact support at this point if your router is still under warranty.

Re: TFTP Issues - Bricked R6700v2
Hey Darren,
Thanks for the reply.
Unfortunately this is out of warranty. It's a bit disheartening to know that a firmware update provided by netgear would somehow cause me to buy a brand new router.
