I went into Setup\Network\WiFi Setup and the AVR scanned for wifi networks. When it displayed mine I entered the password for the 5GHz band. That was it.

From the instructions it sounds simple on the Denon unit scan for wifi signals and select your's and enter your password for the network.
Here is a link to denon's manual https://usa.denon.com/us/product/hometheater/receivers/avrx4300h
I hope this by the look at page 237 in the manual good luck .

Does the AVR have a wired LAN port as well? I recommend using LAN port for best performances if your goingto use an AVR.

From I saw yes it has a 100mb wired lan port depending where the amp is located and the router located yours may be the best answer since in the end it all comes down to a static ip address on the network for the amp's network interface.
In fact it is on page 86,87 even tells how to connect and set up in the owners manual.

I guess 100Mb is good enough. I presume no streaming with the AVR.

Thanks William10a. I figured it out last night shortly after I began this thread. I was a bit over tired and not thinking clearly.

The network only would handling audio data no video data as the amp has 8 hdmi inputs with 3 hdmi outputs for the video part.
