USB drive does not show up readyshare
I have a seagate 5T ssd that I try to plug into my x6 r8000.....sometimes it is recognized but all of a sudden the connect fails and then it will not connect at all
runnubng firmware V1.0.3.48_1.1.33 and I've even tried past versions to no avail. it works sometimes but more often than not....the ssd works on every single compute without hesitation.

You have an SSD in a USB enclosure?
ReadySHARE is picky about the USB devices it accepts.
This list will give you some clues, although it is far from comprehensive:

Not sure that any SSD works. How is yours formatted? Any partitions?

Re: USB drive does not show up readyshare
it's an extenal 5 tb ssd drive that is connected via usb to the router. The partition is ntfs. It worked fine for a while then all of a sudden I have trouble seeing it. Works perfect if I connect it to any pc...

What have you changed in the meantime?

Unfortately, that guarantees nothing. PCs can use drivers that accommodate devices that will not work in a router.

Re: USB drive does not show up readyshare
the only thing that changed was the firmware of the router...I tried to revert back to the original one and that' didn't work either...
I was running KODI on the harddrive for over a year...the only thing I added to the harddrive were movies or TV shows. That version of KODI or unix hasn't changed.
