I am currently unable to login to my Netgear Nighthaw app via my iPhone. Firmware up to date and had already uninstalled/installed Netgear app.v Router is working fine and am able to log-in using my desktop but keep getting the message "WiFi Not Detected" when using my phone app. Router not in AP mode and "Local Network" is enabled. When I try again, the "Logon timed out, please try again" appears.
This has been going on for 2 weeks now.
Any helpful suggestions will be very much appreciated.

I was able to fix the issue by doing a factory reset of my Netgear Nighthawk R7960P router.
Here's what I did:
1. Uninstall my Nighthawk app
2. Factory reset of my router
3. Reinstall the Nighthawk app
Hope this helps. Thanks to everyone who responded.

Re: Unable to Login to Netgear Nighthawk App Using iPhone
Negative. It would work for about an hour after I reboot my router (R7960P) but would stop working again after that.

Re: Unable to Login to Netgear Nighthawk App Using iPhone
Something seems to have broken the iPhone app. Lots of reports around here. Try the "apps" section.
It isn't clear if it is something that Apple did or if it is Netgear being slow to catch up with things.

Re: Unable to Login to Netgear Nighthawk App Using iPhone
Quick question. Are we all using the same router model? Mine is R9000 and using firmware v1.0.5.18 (not latest) and using iOS 14.4 with latest Nighthack app and I haven't got this issue at all.
I was on iOS 14.3 yesterday and older Nighthawk app when I saw this thread and didn't have any problems either. So I don't think is app related but a combination of router firmware, app and network where router is.

That makes sense. The trouble is that it is hard to pin down the exact sequence. People see an update and automatically assume that this caused the problem.
Something more subtle may well be in play here. That's why it helps to provide as much detail as possible.
If it is a firmware issue, then rolling back to earlier versions should restore functionality.
Unfortunately, it is probably harder to go back to an earlier app version. Android and iOS don't seem to allow that.

Re: Unable to Login to Netgear Nighthawk App Using iPhone
Yes, the firmware updated automatically when I did the factory reset, which was the same firmware that I had.

Re: Unable to Login to Netgear Nighthawk App Using iPhone
Also, I used the app to install the router settings instead of doing it on the desktop.

Re: Unable to Login to Netgear Nighthawk App Using iPhone
I am having the same problem - unable to login to Netgear Nighthawk App using my iphone. But was unsure about doing a factory reset of my router for fear it would create more problems. By resetting to factory defaults does that create any issues?

Re: Unable to Login to Netgear Nighthawk App Using iPhone
I would not do that, I dont think it would help. I be;eive it to be a firmware problem with the router.

It typically forces you to reconfigure your router. Should be
harmless otherwise.

I don't know if it would or not. In such a situation, some folks
would run the experiment.
