When I updated to the R7000 router my HP Photosmart 4500 printer is no longer connected.

While trying to find a solution to my own issue I came across your issue and figured I could offer you some helpful advice. I would start with the basic and most obivious solutions and work from there. None of the suggestions below is to offend you. Even if it seems ridiculous I would still follow the advice and check it.
- Check that power cord is plugged into the wall.
- Verify that printer turns on after pressing the power button.
- Ensure all of the setup instructions was performed correctly:

- User Manual (see pg 109): http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c01516322
- Perform a ping test
- Get ip of the printer from the printer itself. Refer to user manual of printer.
- If unfamilar with how to perform a ping test you can follow instructions at either of the links below:
- Try switching bands (from 2.4GHz to 5GHz).
- In order for this to work you have to have your computer connect to your 5GHz wireless network. (Usually same wifi name with "-5G" suffix.)
- You need to have the printer use the same 5GHz wireless network.
- Can you connect to the printer?
Note if your ping test:
- is successful then the issue is not with the router but possibly with your computer's printer settings or printer configuration settings.
- fails then issue could possibly be with the router. (For instance I'm having an issue where 2.4GHz band is operating in isolation mode. No device on the network can see each other. This doesn't occur on my router's 5GHz band.)
