Which Model easily allows me to turn Wifi On and Off?

My home is wired with ethernet and my old Google Network Box allowed me to toggle, using a browser, to turn Wifi ON and OFF.  I use Wifi intermittently, not very frequently, so don't need an app to 'schedule' when I want Wifi on or off.

Just want to keep it simple and have the tools, preferably browser based, to enable or disable WiFi.

I used to be able to do this on the Netgear router I had years ago.  Is this something that is now possible? and which model would be best suited for this to work with Google Fiber 1000gb?

Thanks in advance for any help you can give!

  • Alot of NG router models have a physical button you can use to turn on/off the wifi. Most of the higher R series (such as R7000, R78000, R8000, etc) have such a button. Most of the newer RAX have it as well. If unsure, go to NG site and download the manual, then search for this function.

As for turning wifi on/off through browser, you can just login into the web UI at http://routerlogin.net or http://192.168.1.1 and turn it on or off.
