Wired connection to E6250 broken after update to 1.0.0.134 (latest)

I'm running windows 10, upgraded and updated to the latest versions. I used to use my mesh extended for its wired extension capabilities because the USB wifi card I have it's always reliable. After updating to 1.0.0.134 for some reason, this doesn't work. The error I get, usually oscillates between unable to contact the DNS server or not connected to the internet (from my browser). I've tried manually setting the DNS to google public DNS with no success. If I plug in my old wifi card, it works fine, so I don't think this is a windows issue. i also connected to the WIFI extended bands directly using my old card and that worked as well. It feels like something about this update bricked the wired extension capability and that alone. I did think there was some malware on my computer and it caused me to be very paranoid and basically reset everything (my PC, my router, this)
Factory reset isn't reverting the firmware or fixing the issue.
