admin password

How do I retrieve my admin password.  The default passord doesn't work, and I do not know what the password is, but I do not know how to retrieve and/or change the admin password.  Any thoughts?

    If you do not know the password only way to reset it is to reset the router via the reset button on back. Hold in for 10 seconds or until lights start flashing then release, router will not have the default user ID and password. Do not use a config backup as you will be right back to where you are now.
