Is it possible to use the config file on different model routers of the same brand?

I wouldn't do it/try it (if it'd even let you).
They use different hardware.
Even some of the same models with different versions use different hardware.

Re: config file
To add to the response from @plemans, this is a long-running issue, with its own venerable discussion in the suggestions zone. There's never much in the way of a response from Netgear.

It seems to be an industry wide problem. You can't export and reimport bits of the configuration.
My solution is to file away a set of screenshots of key settings.

Re: config file
Also one reason for not being able to use config files on same brand but different models is that some project models do not have same features, hardware or options. So trying to load a config file from one model would differ on a different model. Industry wide and in most cases Mfrs don't allow this and it would probably cause un-necessary problems. Been like this for years. Though you CAN use same brand and same model config files on that level.
