i have an ac1900 r6900v2 and last week or so the wifi has been nil to none

Basically around 9-9:30 at night for the last week or so my wifi has been so crappy that it barely works or doesnt at all. We contacted the internet provider and they said its on netgears end since there hasnt been any internet disconnection issues on their part. I have no issues all day til bedtime. only thing i changed tonight was the channel it goes on from auto to channel 4 to see if that helps at all. Dont understand why around the same times it happens suddenly

Channel 4 is part of the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi band.  Do any of your devices connect to the 5 GHz band?

On the 2.4 GHz band, recommend you use channel 1, 6, or 11.  They have the lease overlap compared to the other channels.

Do you have a lot of neighbors that are also using Wi-Fi at the same time of night?  The Wi-Fi spectrum is an area is shared whether or not the others are connected to your Wi-Fi.
