lost me login info

I cannot locate my login info to install my ex2700 extender. I tried to creat a new account, but it asks me the date I purchased. I have no idea the date I purchased since it was years ago. Now I have an extender I cannot use. No where can I email customer support. I have founnd it useless. Any suggetions?

   Here's a radical concept which helps some people:

   Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model number, and look
for Documentation.  Get the User Manual (at least).  Read?  Look for
"Reset"?

   I would not expect an account at netgear.com to be needed to
configure some old extender.
