Yesterday all of the sudden we couldn't get any internet connection to any of our devices. The router showed it's amber color so I reset the Modem. After doing that, there was no change. I plugged the Ethernet from the modem right into my Mac and got an internet connection just fine.
Firmware: v1.0.3.32
We tried restarting the router a few times, each time waiting a solid 30 seconds before starting it back up.
Thanks for your tips.

What modem do you have?
Try powering off the modem and router. Disconnect all the cables from both (even coax from modem)
Then connect coax back to modem and power it on. give it several minutes.
Then connect the modem to wan port on router.
power the router on and give it several minutes.

Re: night Hawk x6 R8000 - Can't connect to the internet
Ah I installed netgear genie, it prompted me to reboot. After that I turned followed your steps to start up the modem, waited, then the router, then it worked. Awesome. I restarted them each so many times, now I know that I should do them in order I guess. Thanks!
