not connected to router's wifi network

I am not able to access the wireless signal of the router. At this point I do not believe that it is sending a signal at all. On the router itself the 2.4GHz and 5GHz indicator lights are not coming on at all.
I do have a strong internet connection from my modem to my router. I am using a motorola MB8600 modem. I have checked through the netgear genie to ensure that I have the latest firmware update to the router (1.0.9.26). I have tried to do a full restart and reinstall of the modem and router. I have done hard resets on the router. I have unplugged and plugged it back in. I pressed the small reset button on the back panel of the router. All have not been sucessful.
On my very initial set up, I did have wireless connection that I was able to verify on both my phone and my wifes phone. We both lost that connection at some point and I cannot figure out why. The connection was strong for about 5 minutes time before it dropped off.
Another strange thing but I am not sure if its related but if I use to routerlogin.net link to attempted a router password recovery, after I put in the 13 digit serial number the continue link never comes up. I have triple checked that the serial number is correct on the body of the router itself. At this point I am stumped.

First guess:

For a good time, visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your model
number, and look for Documentation. Get the User Manual. Read.

Re: not connected to router's wifi network
I resolved my own issue. On the right side of the router is a wireless on/off switch that must have been bumped or held down while I was looking for the serial number under the router. I held that button down and the indicator lights for the 2.4 and 5 GHz signal came on. I checked my phone and I am receiving full strength signals. Ooops

Re: not connected to router's wifi network
I spend quite a bit of time looking at each of those things. I didnt suspect a button press because I assumed I had gone nowhere near those buttons. Turns out I was wrong. You were right on the money with the link you sent. It was a button press. Thank you

Clearly, you're not the first (and probably won't be the last).
It's a pretty design, and the two buttons do protrude just a little,
but "pretty" and "user-friendly" are spelled differently for a reason.
In any case, it's good to know that you puzzled it out.
