Your ISP Modem already has a built in router and wifi. This would be a double NAT (two router) condition which isn't recommended. This would be a double NAT condition which isn't recommended. https://kb.netgear.com/30186/What-is-Double-NAT

Couple of options,
1. Configure the modem for transparent bridge or modem only mode. Then use the NG router in router mode. You'll need to contact the ISP for help and information in regards to the modem being bridged correctly.
2. If you can't bridge the modem, disable ALL wifi radios on the modem, configure the modems DMZ/ExposedHost or IP Pass-Through for the IP address the NG router gets from the modem. https://kb.netgear.com/25891/DMZ-on-NETGEAR-routers

3. Or disable all wifi radios on the modem and connect the NG router to the modem, LAN to LAN configure AP mode on the NG router.

Try option #2 first...What is the size of your home? Sq Ft?
What is the distance between the router and 📡 satellite(s)? 30 feet or more is recommended in between MR📡 and MS🛰️ to begin with depending upon building materials when wired or wirelessly connected.

Try disabling the following and see:
Armor, Smart Parental Controls , Traffic Meter
Are the devices for work wireless or ethernet connected?

I've confirmed that prior to 6 months ago through current:
1. Armor Security - disabled/expired
2. Parental Controls - off
3. Traffic Meter - off
I am not sure how to access the channel map for MR70. I cannot find access using the mobile app (anywhere access). Perhaps I need to connect to the MR70 using an ethernet cable?
Thank you!

- KeislerAug 19, 2024AspirantNetgear has a special on the Orbi 852 (850 with 1 satellite) for $399, plus 10% off with a promo code, and free shipping. Got the Orbi 852 plus wall mount kit for the router for about $410 with tax.
Today was a smooth setup after adding the MAC address to the IP Passthrough.
Getting 250-350 Mbps upstairs at my desk. Screenshot attached of the speed test showing about 1200Mbps up and down speed.
This system is substantial - meaning the weight of the equipment is considerable. The MR70 was like a tinker toy compared to this. I can only imagine there is considerable cost in the EMI reduction inductors, a quality switching power supply, and antenna.
A shot with dark room. I like how it is not emitting light.
Thanks for all of the help, especially Furry. - FURRYe38Aug 20, 2024Guru - Experienced User
Glad you got something that worked for you. Be sure to save off a back up configuration to file for safe keeping. Saves time if a reset is needed.
