I have two google homes, a chromecast, two phones, and a desktop connected to my network. The desktop is the only one wired. On occasion, the LAN seems to be split into two networks for my devices be...

Hi cdelat01 , can you share a bit about what #43114555 is about? I sent this to Netgear support but they closed the case. When I opened a new case and again mentioned your ticket number, they gave me instructions to do a factory reset. ???

I am having the same problem as well. I have a wireless printer along with Google home/chromecast devices that are invisible to my phones and each other when connected to the satellites but everything works when my phone is connected to the main router. My parents have the same issue as well. Did the downgrade in firmware end up working?

Not entirely.
At first, things seemed to work, then only the Android devices would be able to stream to the Chromecast, but after a day or so they stopped working as well.
I did the factory reset (hold a pin in the base station's reset hole for 30 seconds), which included an upgrade to v1.0.6.110 of the firmware. EDIT: to save yourself a lot of pain, write down the SSID and password to your current network before doing the factory reset, as it will revert to whatever is written on the base of the MR. After the reset you can change the settings back to your current values and all your devices should reconnect automatically.
First 24 hours, everything worked. Then at some point between 24-48 hours, things reverted to not working. A reboot of the base station (via 192.168.1.1) seemed to have enabled things to work again, but that was 8 hours ago, so still monitoring. It's quite frustrating.
A point to note: the 2.4ghz band is set to "auto" channel by default. Older equipment can only handle channels 1-11, so you might need to manually set it to either 1, 6, or 11 to make things work. Also turn off AX, unless you have only wifi-6 enabled devices. And check the security protocols that each device is capable of using. If you have a very old printer or PC, then you might need ot set a lower security spec. I have a guest network on with WPA1 for this reason, while the main network is WPA2. Be aware that devices on the two networks won't be able to see each other.
Make sure to open a support ticket in the first 3 months after purchase, otherwise they'll charge you for product support.

I was having this same issue as well - tried to get help from support and had 2 cases closed on me automatically while level 2 support was supposed to get back to me. Referenced the case earlier in this thread about a fix and was told to downgrade my firmware but nothing seemed to work. I returned this router system to the retailer where I purchased it and switched to a different mesh system and everything just works now. No more headache, no more frustration and no more dealing with NETGEAR support!
If you are having this issue - my suggestion - buy a different router. Hopefully they fix this issue in the future, but I am not going to wait around for them to fix it.
