MR60 HTTPS selection does not work

My MR60 running Firmware 1.1.7.132 is connected to my Windows 11 PC running Microsoft Edge browser. I followed the instructions to "Always use HTTPS to access the router" in the User Manual dated My 2022 on page 98. After logging out of the router and trying to log back in using HTTPS, the browser won't allow me to log in using HTTPS and will only allow me to login using HTTP or default to HTTP.  I've tried rebooting the router and updated the firmware, yet it still will not work. HELP!!!

Disable "Always use HTTPS to access the router" .Why did you turn it on/

All it does is bugger up the usual ways of accessing a router.

It seems to be one of those things implemented for the benefit of people who do not understand that http access is fine for a router on your own network.

You might get more help, and find earlier questions and answers specific to your device, in the appropriate section for your hardware. That's probably here:

You might like to search there for messages related to your problem.

Re: MR60 HTTPS selection does not work

I get https://192.168.0.1/start.htm but the https is stuck out and reports as the certificate is not valid.

Ya you don't need HTTPS, not really needed since you can only access the MRs web page from the LAN side and we presume your the only one accessing it. I always use HTTP.
