Netgear Nighthawk MK62 and Airplay issues and a work around
I couldn't see where to reply on a topic that already exists so I created a new one. Also this discussion would let me select the mk62 as an associated product. Smh
I had the same issue as other people did and I tried their suggestions, but they did not work for me. Unchecking "Enable Wireless Isolation" didn't work for me, because there wasn't a settings for that on my router, even when logging in through the computer. Turning off private wi-fi address on the iPhone didn't work either.
I have a Samsung television, and when I selected it from Airplay, I would get the message, "unable to connect". What worked for me is I ran an Ethernet cable to the tv from my internet switch, and changed the settings on the tv to get WIRED internet. Then when I selected the tv from airplay it connected and mirrored right away. You just need to run a temporary wire, because after I disconnected the Ethernet cable, and changed the internet settings on the tv back to WIRELESS the phone is still now able to mirror to the tv.
The tv is now back to it's original internet connection by WiFi, and I am able to mirror to it from my iphone.
