Nighthawk MR60 - Constant Phone Home

Is there a way to prevent my Netgear MR60 mesh system from trying to phone home? I had been using my router as my DHCP server for a while, but recently switched to using PiHole as my DHCP server.

Now with this increased viability, I'm seeing tons of traffic back to netgear.com. In the past 24 hours there have been 18.5K requests to netgear.com that have been blocked.

Any recourse besides hoping for after market firmware?

I've seen that to on my pihole but it'll go in spurts. One day I'll have a ton of them and next, barely any. 

it might just be phoning home until it actually checks in (if its being blocked)
