Nighthawk mesh wifi 6 satellite ms60

Hi,

This is our wifi router it makes the modem which is a Netgear cm500 become wifi. Someone said that the Nighthawk mesh wifi 6 satellite MS60 is not a wifi router, but that is our wifi router. It's a satellite wifi router that makes the modem CM500 become wifi.

I have a nighthawk mesh wifi 6 satellite MS60, says on the list of qualified wifi routers that mine MS60 is not included, but the website: https://kb.netgear.com/29913/Setting-Parental-Control-filter-level-for-each-device?cid=wmt_netgear_o...
Says I can download firmware, will the firmware update update my MS60 so I can be a part of circle smart parental controls? And also is that what net genie is is the program for the circle smart parental controls? Also is net genie a program that is separate from the smart circle parent app? Or is net genie the program for smart circle parent app? I am confused cause there is a picture of net genie program and before that it says to download smart circle parent app but the title of net genie is not the same as smart circle parent app? How do I get the net genie, is that by downloading circle smart parental controls app?
I want to block adult content with parental controls, what is net genie? Is that a subscription for the net genie.or is it free? Where do I download or get it and then set it up?

CM modems just pass thru wired data traffic from your ISP to the connected host wifi router system. 

Are you referring to the MR? The MR is the router portion of the Nighthawk MESH system. The MS is the extender remote satellite unit that comes with a MR router.

The MS does NOT have any router or routing features.

You need to use the Nighthawk APP to access Armor or SPC features.

That is all we have they set up and we have wifi.. the cm500 and MS60. And it does say Wifi Satellite MS60. Which means it's a satellite that gives off wifi.

I need parental controls over wifi. how do I get that with the MS60 satellite wifi.

So the sticker has MS printed on it? If so, this will not work. You need a MR60 unit to work as the router and interface between the CM modem and the MS satellite. The MS only extends the wifi signal from the MR.
