Testing wifi speed of an AX1800 satellite

Just purchased AX1800, 2 pack. Is there a way to test the speed of the satellite? The satellite is on our second floor almost directly above the router (obviously separated by the ceiling/floor). When I check speed using the Nighthawk app it is considerably slower than on the main floor (900 main, 275 upstairs ). Thought MESH would give better speeds upstairs than the Xfinity modem, but doesn't seem to be the case.

Two pack of what? Netgear has about a dozen AX1800s in the catalogue.

AX1800 is not a reliable guide to model number. Many devices come with an AX tag, but it is essentially a label that Netgear, and other brands, attach to hardware to describe wifi speeds.

Look at the label on the device for the model number.

MK60? RAXXXX? WAXXXX? Orbi?

If its got an ethernet  port (unsure without a model), you can hardwire a pc/laptop into it and check its speeds.

The dual band systems are going to be slower than the tribands and potentially even just a single router solution because they don't have a dedicated backhaul. they'll have better coverage but it miight not be as fast when in closer proximity to the router.

The MK62 is one of the most basic mesh systems. The router will have quite a bit better speeds than the satellite will because its a dual band system.

You can read a few reviews on it to compare router vs satellites speeds. I'm preferential to dongknows reviews.
