WGR614v7 speed issue
The other day mt connection started dropping. I talked with my ISP and they decided that I need to upgrade my modem. I have recently upgraded to 30mb download speed and it wouldn't handle it. I upgraded modem and the intermittent connection stopped. However, my connection seemed slow. I tested it through the router and the modem. When hard wired I get a range of 22 - 31mb speed. when through the router I get a range of .02 - 4mb speed. Very significant difference. I have the WGR614 v7 that should handle the speed. Do I assume the router is bad? Any help is greatly appreciated.

very possible that issues is the capabilities of the router and been defective unit. there is NO spec for home end router so contact support at my.netgear.com and ask WAN-LAN throughput spec for this model.
