2.4 SSID vanishing from wifi list every so often on 5ghz device

Wonder if anybody has seen this, on my android device's when I go to wifi it pulls up (scans) for available network I will see both of my SSID's (I use a different one for each), but every so often the 2.4 SSID just drops off the list, later comes back and vanishes again. I never saw this with the R6300.

The 2.4 channel seems to be o.k., some of my older devices that use it, do not seem to lose network connectivity, and the SSID for the 2.4 is always present.

Seem' to affect only devices that can use either the 5 or 2.4 channels.

Hope this makes sense, or I could be just loosing my mind. 😄

Hi,

Android is not a reliable OS to analyze seriously wifi signals with Wifi Analyzer our other.
I suggest you to use Windows with Acrylic Wifi...

● TP-Link Archer C7 v2 (WDS Bridge)

Re: 2.4 SSID vanishing from wifi list every so often on 5ghz device

Most all of my devices are android of some sort for phones and tablets.
Four tablets, three phones, etc...

I use the 5ghz for mostly, but others like tv's, and game consoles I have to use 2.4 so I keep an eye on it as well.

So 2.4ghz signal drop out from the wifi connection list only seems to happen to my android devices that can connect to either 2.4 or 5ghz (phones and tablets).

My older android devices, like the ASUS TF300T, that only connect to 2.4ghz, as well as other types of devices like my laptop and chromebook, the 2.4ghz channel does not vanish from the wifi connection list.

Once they are connected to 2.4ghz, they do not loose the signal though.

I didn't see this behaviour with the R6300.

Even running both together I can see the 2.4 channel of the R7000 vanish while the 2.4 channel of the R6300 stays.

Any thoughts?

If your laptop uses Windows, install Acrylics wifi on it...
