2.4 dropping out smart device too manyHelp. Our internet is constantly going out. But sometimes not
Help. Our internet is constantly going out. But sometimes not all devices lose internet connection. We have lots of devices on the network. Computers, gaming devices, tvs are connected to the 5ghz wifi. Then we have lots of alexas, light bulbs, and phones on the 2.4 wifi. Now some devices can connect to 2.4 but some cannot.
I wonder if we have too many devices connected to the router/modem? But its a $300 router. Would a smart hub help? What other information is needed? Log file with ip hidden?
This is getting old.

How many actual devices do you have on the 2.4ghz band? Syaing a lot doesn't tell us much. Most consumer routers are limited to 32 devices per band.
Another issue is wireless network interference. If you do a wireless scan with a channel scanner (there's free one's for pc/phones) how many 2.4ghz networks do you see? The more interference you have, the more likely devices are to drop/lag/have issues.
Whats your housing materials? this makes a difference as brick, concrete, plaster lathe, adobe, foil lined insualtion, hvac all do great jobs of reducing signals to completely blocking signals.
How large is your house? (sq ft)
Have you tried changing wireless channels? If there's interference, a channel change can sometimes help.
