Is qos needed on a connection of 300mbps? Just wondering cause I just went from 100 to 300

Netgear's recommendation to leave Dynamic QoS can be found here:

I'm pretty sure that it's related to the computational overhead. IOW, the router's CPU can't keep up. It's well known that the router cannot forward at Gigabit speeds when hardware acceleration is disabled. QoS is one of the features known to disable hardware acceleration. Traffic metering, keyword filtering and block services are other features that disable acceleration.

Thanks for all the replies. I have decided to leave mine off. I'm actually not having any issues with bandwidth while still attaining 290 down and 25 up. im getting about 285 on wireless which is pretty good also
