5 Ghz continually drops after firmware update

Hi,

I'm having a strange problem.  I am currently on firmware V1.0.1.48_10.0.30.  Everytime I try to upgrade to any newer version of firmware i continually have problems with 5Ghz wifi droping out intermittenatly.   As soon as I revert to old firmware, it becomes stable again.  I've tried factory reset with new firmware and problem still exists.

Any sugguestions?

Thanks

Stay on the stable firmware that works?

That'd be what I'd do.

Had same issue, drove me insane. There's a hotfix out now.

Download latest: V1.0.4.52_10.1.67 and it will work fine,

Re: 5 Ghz continually drops after firmware update

I would like to upgrade to the latest firmware as it corrects the latest security issues.

I have a R6900, V1.0.4.52_10.1.67 looks like its for the R8000.

Thanks for the suggestions!

Having the same issue. Internet provider (Cox Cable) guy says firmware upate I did last month to v1.2.0.62 is the problem and he's seeing it often. I cannot figure out how to revert to an older firmware. I'd appreciate any help with this. Thanks! Cindy

Visit http://netgear.com/support , put in your (actual) model number,
and look for Downloads.  (For older versions, under Firmware and
Software Downloads, look for "View Previous Versions".)  Find the
kit(s).  Download the kit(s) you want.  Read the "Release Notes" file
for instructions.  (In the User Manual, look for "firmware", and,
especially, for a topic like "Manually Upload Firmware to the Router".)
