The JGS524Ev2 is the gb port version of JGS524E which is 10/100 mb 24 port switch.

The GST724 is a smart switch gb which it can set up the control the each lan port via software on the switch it's self and comes with a few different features depending the exact model you get..

The JGS524Ev2 should just fine unless you full control over each port of the network.

Re: AC1900 Nighthawk

The firewall is on the router, not on the switch. Don't daisy chain switches. Plug each switch on a LAN port on the router.

Re: AC1900 Nighthawk

That's an interresting case, by the way when you google translate daisy chain from ENG to FR that is really funny!!!
