AC1900 - Wired ethernet not connecting to Internet

I bought a new AC1900 at the weekend to replace a 10 year old BT home hub.

Wifi connections ar ewroking fine and I can connect to the internet.

However i cannot connect from my Mac using wired ethernet.  The mac connected via ethernet to the router whilst I set it up.  If I switch on the wifi on the mac it connects.

The mac has also backed up to time machine (synology disk station) - both are plugged in using wired ethernet to the router,

Looking in the admin on the router it lists the connected wifi devices and also the wired Mac and shows them as all allowed devices.

Any suggestions on how to get this working?

It could be an IP conflict, make sure ALL devices are set to USE DHCP in each devices setup. I would also reset the router to defaults to be sure a user setting isn't set incorrectly.
